공정의 힘, 한국양궁의 올림픽 전종목 금메달 석권에서 배우다(Power of fairness, learning it from what S. Korea sweeps all four archery titles)

한국 양궁이 2016 리우 올림픽에서 전 종목의 금메달을 따고,

여자 단체전에서는 올림픽 8회 연속 우승을 했다.

In Rio olympic, Korea archery players won all of four archery titles

and women's archery athletes' team got gold medals 8 times in a row.

자랑스럽다. 축하한다.

I am proud of them. And congratulations on the amazing achivements.

왜 그럴까? 한국 양궁이 왜 이렇게 강할까?

Why? Why is Korea archery so strong?

주몽의 후예여서 원래 한국인이 활을 잘 쏘고

과학적이고 강도높은 훈련을 해서 그렇다고 생각할 수 있다.

"Koreans originally are good at shooting arrows because they are decendents of JU MONG

they are trained through the scientific and hard training" might be thought.

물론 이런 이유도 있겠지만

나는 가장 큰 이유는 공정의 힘이라고 확신한다.

Of course, although these may be reasoned,

I am sure that the biggest reason is power of fairness.

오직 실력에 따라 공정하게  선수 선발을 하기 때문이다.

In case of Korer archery, the athletes have been selected only depending on the competence and the ability.

선수를 선발할 때 실력이외의 지연, 학연, 혈연, 권력...이런 힘이 개입을 하지 않고

오직 실력하나로 공정하게 선발한다고 한다.

Regardless of regionalism, school relations, kinship, authority...

the players have been chosen only on the bases of their competence and ability.

양궁처럼 다른 경기종목의 선수도 실력에 따라 공정하게 선발하면

그들은 올림픽은 물론 세계대회에서 더 좋은 결과를 얻으리라고 생각한다.

If the other event's players are selected like the ones of the archery,

I think they will bring better achievments in olympic as well as world match.

지금 한국에는 체육뿐만 아니라  모든 분야에서 공정한 경쟁이 절실하다.

A fair competition is needed earnestly in not only sports but also all fields.

한국을 한 단계 발전시키기 위해서는 반드시 모든 분야에서 공정함이 실현되어야 한다.

To upgrade korea up one step furthermore, fairness must be secured in all fields.

공정의  힘은 모든 힘의 원천이다.

Power of fairness is source of all power.

치열한 경쟁을 할 수 밖에 없는 현실에서

공정하지 않거나 공정함이 없으면 그 사회나 국가는 병들고 퇴폐하며 그 구성원은 아프고 불행하다.

In reality where the pierce competition is not escaped,

both society and a nation without fairness are sick and destructive, the people are hurt and unhappy.
