유기열, 제3회 르완다 대학교 졸업식(The Third Graduation Ceremony of University of Rwanda)

7월 29일 키갈리의 아마호로 국립 운동장에서 유일한 국립대학교인 르완다 대학교의 졸업식이 개최되었다.

The only national university, University of Rwanda's graduation  ceremony was held on 29 July at the national Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. 

이번 졸업식은 과거 단과대학별로 일주일에 걸쳐 하던 것과 달리 한 날 한 곳에서 6개 단과대학이 합동으로 진행되었다.

The ceremony was completed with 6colleges together one day one place this year for a change, on past it continued 6 days.

졸업생은 약 8,500명이다. 특별한 것은 카가메 대통령이 졸업식에 참석하여 연설을 하였다.

The graduants reached about 8,500. It was special that President Kagame  also attended the event this year.

카가메 대통령의 메시지의 요지는 이렇다.

President Kagame said to the fresh graduates ;

"졸업은 인생이 더 쉬워지는 것을 뜻하지 않는다. 교육 받는 동안  맞을 준비를 했을 도전이 여러분 앞에 놓여 있다.

Graduation does not mean life gets easier. Challenges ahead are what your education prepared you to face.

교육은 책임을 지는 것을 의미한다. 우리나라의 발전은 교육받은 국민의 기술과 교육 위에서만 이루어질 수 있다.

Education means responsibility. The progress of our country can only be founded on the skills and education of its people."
